Brand Profile

In 1997, Alterna was the first to unveil a new concept in hair products – Enzymetherapy – The Science of Skincare for Hair. Also that year, they were the first company to begin using hemp oil in their hair care products.

In 2000 – the business created it’s top selling Caviar hair range. This was to be a huge success for the company, and one of the first anti aging hair products to go to market. During this year they also created a revolutionary product designed to improve the problem of thinning hair – Nutrozyme Complex.

By 2002, Alterna had jumped the pond from the United States and had launched its great range of products in Europe. The following year, an anti frizz product was launched specifically to deal with the problem of frizzy curly hair. Elasto Complex was quickly followed by Straight Line Complex which was designed to tame unruly hair.

Today, Alterna is still innovating and developing to keep ahead of the haircare pack. If you’re looking for a cutting edge hair product solution then this is the brand for you!
