Schick Titanium Trimmer Review

Have you seen the brand new Schick Titanium Trimmer Razor? We’ve been lucky enough to score a freebie from the good people at Schick recently so we can tell all of our review readers just what we think of them. I got my significant other to give this razor a bit of a test drive. He has loads of problems with razor blades turning the skin on his face into a very localised Texas Chainsaw Massacre, so who better to test out a new razor product?!

About The Titanium Trimmer: Schick describe the Titanium Trimmer as “The Ultimate Experience in Personal Grooming”. Brave words in such a crowded market for shave products! Basically, Schick seek to differentiate this product from others by creating a one-stop personal grooming shop packaged neatly into a razor.

The Titanium Trimmer offers the multi-blade shaving experience with skin guard and lube strip we’ve all come to expect. However, this is complimented by a titanium trimming blade for those hard to reach places like under (but not up) your nose. The package is completed with the electric trimmer which is built into the handle.

For the record, we are comparing the performance of this razor to his current brand - Gillette Fusion.

The Shave: Was actually pretty darned smooth. The skin irritation usually present after shaving was reduced a fair bit. The fusion razor was easy to use, I can say this with some confidence as my fella’s oft-present accidental “nose tache” was not there when he’d completed his grooming routine. My routine post-shave inspection discovered that his skin was beautifully smooth. I’ve also noticed that a couple of days after shaving there isn’t the same skin redness sometimes present.

The Trimmer: Was very, very effective at trimming up those little areas around the sideburns. With more and more men paying intensive attention to sideburns, beards, and moustaches this is a really cool addition to a standard razor for no additional cost.

So What Do We Think? We reckcon Shick are onto a little bit of a winner here. As frequent travellers the compact nature of this product has bags of appeal. My significant other tells me it performs just as well (and better) than any razor he’s used before and he’ll be pretty darned happy to keep using this gem from Schick.
